About this tour

This 9-day Morocco Atlantic coast tour follows the ocean from Casablanca to Marrakech — golden beaches, Portuguese sea forts, the artist port of Essaouira and the pink-granite valleys of Tafraout, finished with a full guided day in Marrakech. It’s Morocco at sea level: slower, breezier and far less visited than the desert circuits.

Route overview

Day 1: Casablanca to El Jadida — the Hassan II Mosque, then the Portuguese citadel by the sea.
Day 2: El Jadida to Essaouira via Safi — pottery workshops and ocean cliffs.
Day 3: Essaouira guided day — the Skala ramparts, fishing port, spice souks and gnawa music heritage.
Day 4: Essaouira to Tafraout via Agadir — beach promenade, then into the anti-Atlas.
Day 5: Tafraout — painted rocks, palm gorges and Berber villages.
Day 6: Tafraout to Marrakech via Taroudant — the ‘little Marrakech’ with its honey-coloured walls.
Day 7: Marrakech guided day — Jemaa el-Fna, palaces and souks with a local guide.
Days 8–9: Marrakech to Casablanca and departure.

Upon arrival in Casablanca, your private driver escorts you to El-Jadida, a Portuguese-flavored port city on the Atlantic Coast. Enjoy a relaxing evening exploring this historic destination.

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mazagan, a Portuguese Fortified City. Drive along the Atlantic Coast, stopping at Safi for a seafood lunch at Souiria Beach. Reach Essaouria by evening.

Explore Essaouria's UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its contemporary European military architecture. Visit the Rampart, seaport, and enjoy water sports or camel trekking on the beach.

Drive along the Atlantic Coast to Tafraout, stopping at Agadir for lunch. Explore Aguerd-Oudad, famous for distinctive rock formations. Finish the day surrounded by red-granite mountains in Tafraout.
