When the desert heat gets to be too much, this is where we send you. The Atlantic coast is the calm side of Morocco — windswept Essaouira with its blue fishing boats and old ramparts, the long sunny bay at Agadir, fresh fish grilled right off the port. After the dunes and the medinas, it's the deep breath at the end of the trip.
We can run the coast as a holiday on its own, or stitch it onto a bigger Morocco route — a few days of sea air after the Sahara or the imperial cities. Tell us how much salt air you want and we'll build it in.
A welcome break from the inland heat — cool ocean breezes make the coast pleasant almost year-round.
Wander the blue-and-white medina of Essaouira — a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its art galleries, sea ramparts and busy fishing port.
A slower pace than the big imperial cities — perfect for unwinding and soaking up the local rhythm.
Sunbathe and try water sports on Agadir's wide sandy bay, or catch the wind at Essaouira — a paradise for kite- and windsurfers.
Eat incredibly fresh seafood, grilled right at the port or served in a little restaurant by the water.
We run the coast from the ramparts of Essaouira down to Agadir and the little surf towns in between — on its own, or added to a desert or imperial-cities route.
